“Investigating Maternal Ambivalence through Collaboration” is a collaborative project between our founder, Lee Nowell-Wilson and Kaylan Buteyn, founder of the Artist/Mother Podcast. 

This special edition of PINT showcases the full scope of the project that developed over two years. Alongside an accompanying podcast episode, the six final art pieces present the tension, pulling and paradox felt within a mother’s mind while reflecting on the equivocal journey of the maternal body itself. Kaylan and Lee play with elements of abstraction and components of realism to explore layers of complex human emotions.
