“8:28am, Friday May 8

…one day from turning 31, my two kids occupy my studio with me while I sit down to write. Play push carts and inside bikes, an old baby’s mattress and boxes of materials all occupying the floor space and creating modes of distraction and production. I often think of my studio itself as a portrait of my life - the record keepings of our daily rhythm, the marks and scraps strewn about on the floor that create form and an engraving of time. This space is, indeed, a portrayal of our likeness, essence and moods.”
